Fitting Alpine KCE-400BT with IDA-X305
Hi all,
I've just bought a second hand Alpine IDA-X305 and I'm looking for a bit of advice from fellow members with the same, or similar setup, as the UK guys seem to have limited experiences of this setup.
I've bought the modifry wired DCI adapter, but I didn't bother with the plug and play harness as I was being tight. However, after seeing the amount of splicing required I have thought better of it and will order one shortly.
Looking at the bluetooth unit, the 4 wires that come from the 'power' input have been spliced into the same colour wires on the Alpine wiring loom. As I understand that the PnP adapter does away with the Alpine loom, where should I connect the bluetooth 'power' wires now? Is it a simple case of splicing them to the same colour wires on the PnP adapter?
Any other tips on install, as plenty of people seem to have issues with mute working, phone ringing at same time as ring on stereo etc?
Many thanks in advance.
