Default Fitting amp rack in trunk

How are you all fitting your amp racks along the back side of the trunk after you take out the spare? I have a amp rack I bought off of someone that was cut to fit the back but the trunk bars are keeping it from staying in place. I'm wondering if I put a screw on each side and attach it to the rear lining if that will help. Anyone have tips on how they have there's installed?

I already have one. Im actually talking about the ones that sit on the backside of the trunk and cover up the whole back side. Not the ones that fit in the spair tire well. But thanks anyways.

Oops, I totally misunderstood your question. I think the panel made by Pas2knut mentioned here is probably more along the lines of what you are looking for. I am not sure what holds it in place though.

Yeah I contacted him about it. It screws into the spare tire mount that holdst he spare. I may actually just make one in the future, but I ended up just screwing in the back panel into the surrounding trunk lining with two screws to hold it in place.

Nope it doesn't screw into the spare. I had it that way at first, but it makes in next to impossible to mount the amp after installed. So the current design just fits in place tight and the weight of the amp and the design hold it in place. Now if you get air born it may move vertically a little bit, but you are going to have bigger problems then your amp if you get air born.

If your amp has a low profile (height), you can make your own mounting board that slip-fits in between the gas tank and the bottom of the well for the convertible top. There's a thread about it somewhere on here. It's completely hidden once you put the trunk panels back in place, and you can keep your spare.
