the 04 has 3 buttons for the cruise control. if i wanted to use the 'cancel' button, which wire do i tap into? does that button provide 12v?

The Cancel button on the '04 is not a real button - it is a mechanical actuator that pushes down both the Resume and Set buttons at the same time. Actually pretty ingenious of Honda; they added a discrete Cancel button without adding extra wiring or changing the Cruise Control unit. They must have seen my fix for missing Cancel button

So, if you connect to the Set button, either Set or Cancel will activate the garage door. If you connect to the Resume wire, either Resume or Cancel will do it.
