gauge install

Default gauge install

Hi,
IM looking for wiring help with my gauge...it a aem serial gauge and needs a ground and a switched source +12Vdc

i think i have aground...the octopus of black wires bolted together near the fuse box (if anyone has a better way please let me know..

I dont know where the pos goes...any ideas???

I believe you can also use a standard 12v relay if you want an uninterupted power supply when you start the car. Use the ignition terminal shown above to switch the relay and run a dedicated line from the positive side of the battery for 12v power. I may be wrong, but I think the ignition power above gets interupted when you hit the start button.

There's really no need to use an "uninterupted" power supply for gauges. What momentary reduction in power during the cranking stage is insignificant. Plus, you don't need a relay for the power needs of a gauge.
