Default getting new speakers

hey guys, i am getting a set of MB Quarts components
I have a 2000 s2000. I have read a lot of threads about the door speakers size. But Some people said 6.5 and some people said 5.25
I am just wondering that for 2000 s2000 what is the correct size?

6.5" if you are referring to the door speakers.

some 6.5" work some dont. Mb Quarts probably do not, and will need a spacer. there are many topics on the forum on how to do that

You may need to modify the speaker basket but not the door panel itself...

... well actually if your getting components you'll need to cut the tweeters into the doors.

Or I can build you a set of these:

They might just fit but I would think you'll need to make an adapter ring to fit the 5.25's in the stock basket.

The molded tweeters are $250

you should've gone with infinity, cuz I think they're great for the price, plus you can get the 6.5"
