Default go fast labs DCI Help

Search is broken, so I couldn't look up additional info regarding the DCI Install.

I recently installed a CDA 9847 in MY 2002 with the DCI purchased from Go fast labs.

None of my dash controls work. I double checked the wiring and adjusted the positioning of the eye over the face of the HU several times.

I tried to look if there was a infared beam coming from teh eye of the sensor using a still digital camera but I couldn't tell if there was a beam or not.

Any suggestions on troubleshooting this problem?

Do i need the factory alpine remote to configure the dci? My HU didn't come with one, as the remote was an optional purchase.

skim - sorry you're having trouble.

You should check out the FAQ and troubleshooting information on my web site. Other than that you can email me at bob@modifry.com (contact info is on the web site too).

The GoFastLab DCI page has a link to my web site, though it's a little hard to find (at the bottom of the DCI text description I think)

If the remote was optional, are you sure the IR sensor was not an option as well? I am not sure. If you followed the install diagram, it should work. I have a MY00 with a 9851, and it works perfectly....talk with Modifry above, I think he is one who designed the thing, so he should be the final word on things.

Are there dip switches that need to be set?

Good luck!

It should - looks like that HU takes the same optional remote as other, more expensive Alpine HUs that are known to work with the IR DCI. Maybe he just didn't have it pointed at the IR window?
