Default Good soundstage possible?

I just got my a set of CDT HD62EF components. Installed it a few weeks back and was stuck with finding a good position for the tweeters (off-axis). I experimented with few different locations but none of them are satisfactory. Is is possible to have a decent sound stage in the S2000?

Locations I tried:
1) Bottom of A-pillar facing opposite A-pillar
Decent sound stage for highs, terrible soundstage for everything else, and out-of-phase.

2) Beside door handle
Average soundstage, but at least it's consistent, more in phase.

3) Near kickpanel
Average soundstage, sometimes blocked by knee/leg, most in phase.

Have anyone tried other locations or feel differently about the ones I tried? Please let me know. Thanks.

How about way back on the dash?

Or in a wedge cup on the grille as far forward and high as possible, crossfiring:

[Imagine it cuz I can't use the image gallery...I had it like this in my first couple installs]

Or in kick panels, also cross-firing:

[Very cool shot of mid and tweet in kick panels from my most recent install]

I hate this search!!

There was a thread I started not so long ago about sharing tips to improve sounstage/imaging/etc. I posted everything I've tried so far and how I'm relatively happy now.

I just can't find it anymore!

Can't write it all again but basically I modified the stock tweeter pod (MY2002) to angle it back at the driver/passenger and I'm running the left tweeter out of phase with the rest of the drivers. I'm also running the sub out of phase.

I have focal polykevlar 165K2, btw.

There were some useful tips for other folks so if you can find that thread please let me know - it's worth a read.

Damn Search!

That was a pretty good thread about soundstage. Question I have, if I were to wire my tweeters high up and out of phase, would it be better off moving it way up the dash aiming driver/passenger or let it sit on the A-piller crossfiring? Any other suggestions?

I hear suggestions of mounting tweeters at the stock location, unfortunately mine is a yr2000 so I don't have a stock tweeter location. How well does the soundstage in that location compare with up the dash or a-piller location ?

Imagine a tennis ball cut into quarters with the tweeter inside. That's pretty much what the pods look like.

Another option is just mounting them on a metal bracket as shown in the pictures on this page:

Look for the pictures whose file name starts with "tweet"
