Got an Alpine CDA-9835 Yesterday
To start out, I love music, but am not a big audiophile, when compared to many on this board. With that being said, my Kenwood died on me, so I decided to try a big boy HU, and get an Alpine. Why not go all the way?
Anyways, I read the book, and have begun to figure out some of the features of this unit, but it can do more things than my computer can!
I went and tried the iPersonalize feature last night, concentrating on the time correction. I inputed the data as best I could. (It is hard to measure from your ear to a speaker alone.) and now the lucid rear drivers panel is overpowering. Does anyone have a good set of measurements they use on iPersonalize? I need help with this!!
Thanks in advance.

I don't see how the rear panels would be overpowering the fronts just by adjusting the time correction. AFAIK you need to use the fader and balance controls in order to adjust actual volume levels. The time correction should just be setting up the delay so that the sound from each speaker arrives at the same time.
I feel your pain, I am still trying to dial in my 9833. The fact that our cars have so many soundstages doesn't help the matter.
I am interested to know if people are measuring the distance to the tweeter, mid range, or between the two for the time correction. They are so far apart that it makes a pretty big difference.
PS When set in 2-way mode, the crossover for high is the fronts, and mid is the rears, in case you were playing with these settings. Kind of confusing labeling, make sure both are set to 0dB.
