Got my Alpine 8063 with digital radar sensor and windows functionality installed. Very cool alarm! Got the LCD console (which displays time, date, battery voltage, tripped sensors, alarm settings and valet information) flush mounted into the radio cover door. Windows roll up upon arm and down via remote. Also, one-touch down and up on both drivers and passenger windows.
Also got the Alpine SPS-1629S speakers in the doors. Direct fit no modification and it sounds alot better! Still need a sub though.
Will post pics soon.

Right on Steve...Are you sure you won't be driving up to Sacto instead of flying next week?

How expensive was the Alpine SEC-8063 Alarm system?
How did they installed the LCD Display?

Thanks.

Don't need an alarm in Wyoming either; therefore, I bought the Honda alarm.

Hi Barry!

What did you paid for the system? Where did you bought the system (URL)?

Thanks

I'll have to look it up. I bought it from my dealer, Valley Motor Honda, when I bought the car. I wanted it covered by the new-car-warranty.

I paid wholesale plus 10% plus installation whatever that comes to. I bought the Honda alarm including the the hood sensor. It does not have a proximity sensor, but I do live in a low crime area.

I've lived in Sheridan since 1978. The only vandalism/damage I've ever had was about 9 years ago when I parked my old '88 Prelude outside the dealer's (on the street) all night while I borrowed a '93 Prelude they wanted to sell me. That night, vandals broke into the '88 Prelude and stole the Passport radar detector.

I bought the '93 Prelude VTEC and love it.

The main thing I like about the Honda alarm is that it has the little red flashing light indicating the car is alarm protected. Oh yes. The Honda alarm maintains the stock immobilizer chip built into the key.

Does the Alpine alarm maintain the immobilizer?
