Sounds like he had them custom made.

So he may not know how hard they are to install if he paid a shop to do it for him.

Well i've done fiberglassing in my last car. Door pods and Kick panels you know all that crazy stuff you can do with car audio. But for this, i really don't have time because of work to perfect it anymore so i had my friend's shop do it for me. It took them about a day and he took a lot of time to get the vinyl perfect. Costed me under 100 bucks. I mean if i bought fiberglass and all the supplies i need because i threw away all the stuff i had before. It would cost me around 40-50 anyways. Seas lotus were supplied to me by my friend who wrecked his legend. So ill just buy it off him later. 8455 i bought for my last car. SQ is pretty awesome right now even with the top down. I got some bad reflection early on, on the dash. But eq'ing helped a lot. I might put an 8" in the trunk later, but probably not.

My last setup I put an L7 8 molded where the glove box is. I also had a 7 inch monitor molded in the dash. I may do that again because it was pretty trick! Everyone thought S's came with navigation!

yeah, i was planning to get an indash, but the thought of fiberglassing really puts a damper on that. I mean its not that hard to do with this car. Just fill in the stock opening. And yeah i was gonna fiberglass an 8 in one or both of the side in the trunk. It seems like a really good place to put subs.
