GPS Installation question...
it should. in my avic n1 i connected the speed sensor. just make sure you ground the parking brake cable.
if you dont connect the speed sensor, it may throw off your reading... especially when your under a bridge, or parking complex

Thanks for your help, now I'm having another issue. The GPS continuously calibrates. The manual says to drive around at over 25mph which I did (I drove 30 minutes to work at 70mph) and it should finish calibrating in five minutes. I have confirmed that the antenna cable is connected and it is receiving a satellite signal from 4 satellites (100% and 3 at 75%). I have also confirmed the speedometer cable is working because the unit has a speed sensor diagnostic....but the GPS always shows the speed as 0mph.
I grounded the parking brake cable so it is always showing up as if it is on. That shouldn't affect the unit from calibrating though, right? Any help or advice would be appreciated. This was my first GPS install.
