Default GPS Question---Speed pulse wire--and connections

I am looking to purchase a used DVD or Cd rom navigation by Alpine and I wanted to know where is the speed control pulse wire on the S2000 located? And do I splice the wire and make the connection?
And where else do the wires connect to that I may be missing?
Any info would be appreciated

Not familiar with the systems you mention but why does it need a speed pulse? Can't it calculate your speed from the GPS information?

The more advanced systems use dead reckoning to supplement GPS. That way they still work when satellite signals are weak or non-existant.

Under the dash (drivers side on RHD) is a box that is the control unit for the roof. It has a green plug and there is a black and white wire that goes into it. Tap into that wire with one of those snap-on connectors.
