Question on Speed Control Volume on Modifry DCI
I'm getting ready to install a new Pioneer HU and Wired DCI. For those that have installed the speed controlled volume feature: do you find it worth the extra installation time?
Also, the instructions indicate to splice into the white/Black signal wire without cutting the speed wire. I'm not sure what this is trying to say? How do you splice into the wht/blk wire without cutting it and then tying in back together with the gray wire from the DCI?
Thanks

I apologize for the confusion. I've been trying to re-write the DCI installation instructions for months and just never seem to find the time. Here's an excerpt from the instructions but I can't remember if this is from the posted manual or the revised one I'm working on:
[B]T-tap the DCI gray wire into the white/black wire to activate the SCV feature.
Do not cut the white/black wire where it enters the Convertible Top Module. If you did, it would bypass the safety feature that prevents the top from operating if the car is moving. If this wire were cut it would allow the top to be raised or lowered while the car is moving (if the parking brake was one click up). This is a safety hazard, so don
