Default GPS tracker advice?

I want to get some advice from people who use gps trackers for their cars.
2 SUVs recently got stolen from my street and one of them was recovered(they took everything out) 2 blocks away a week later.
One of them was a 2013 Lexus SUV, so they don't mess around.
After I heard about the cars being stolen, I can't go the sleep anymore.
I have full coverage insurance, but the car has aftermarket parts and
I don't think I would be able to get the money I spent on this car back from the insurance.

So at least I would like to recover the car after it gets stolen with a salvage/recovered title.
And I know that there is basically no way I can stop someone from stealing it, unless I sleep in it.
Even then, they might steal it.

So is there anybody using GPS tracker on their cars, or something similar to that?
I have found some devices while searching online but I have no idea which one is good enough.
Or at least some info about how they work.

Thanks in advance.

Both AMERICALOC and SpyTec are able to track cars in real time, especially AMERICALOC, which can keep track history for one year. Most importantly, they are all hidden GPS, which can be placed anywhere in the vehicle with the help of magnets.
