Is it HARD to install a VIPERalarm?
I am very keen on wiring etc. BUT if I get a Viper with perimeter detection etc. am I going to run into a big pain in the butt?? thanks for anyones impute...
If you can afford the S than I would suggest that you have it professionally installed for 150 bucks. Just talk to the installer and make sure he is not green or new. Also Viper will not warranty their product if not installed by an authorized dealer. As an installer myself I see many do it yourselfer installs and they are usually not pretty. Most are pretty scary fire hazards.
Pay the $150 bucks to get it installed professionally. As Bobby said, make sure that installer is not a beginner.
An alarm is only as secure and reliable as the installation.
As for perimeter detection, I am not opposed to using those. I think they do add some level of protection, but be sure not to be overzealous and set it too sensitive. With these things, you want to minimize your false alarms. The more your alarm falses, the less you will trust it.
good luck
