Hardtop Defroster / Connector
Hi there,
I managed to get hold of a used hardtop and purchased a fitting kit too which came with the extra loom to get the demister working.
I also bought a demister switch.
Got the extra loom in place, no problems there (I dont think)... but the demister has a different connector to the plug thats on the loom where it should 'plug in' in the centre console.
The demister switch I bought (2nd hand) has 6 pins and the plug in the loom in centre console has 5?
Can anyone help or shed any light as to why they would be different please?
Am I able to simply buy a new switch (with correct pin layout) or is there a 'converter loom' that someones made in the past?
I have taken some pictures... how do I insert them into this post? I dont have them 'online' anywhere, just on my phone.

Per the Electrical Troubleshooting Manual, for US cars '00-'01 used a switch with a 5-pin plug,
while '02+ cars used a 6-pin plug. I would imagine you could adapt the 6-pin switch to work with the
5-pin demister, but probably easier and cleaner to track down the right switch.
