Has anybody looked at this Speaker/Sub location
My Padre had a Triumph TR7 when I was young. The speakers in his car were basically like the angled truck box speakers they sell for 6x9s, etc. They were on the floor well in front of each seat and under the legs of the driver and passenger. The speakers were heard very clearly (for a convertible) and were aimed directly at the driver and passenger.
If you think about it, that area under your legs is really wasted space. If done right, a box should not interfere with getting in and out of the car and it won't interfere with driving comfort. The box could be larger near the transmission and smaller near the door to allow people to get in and out of the car easily.
Someone might try this and give us a summary if they have a small truck box that they can plug into an amp for a test.
Also - someone might want to look into making storage compartments for this "wasted" space.
Just thinking out loud.
Let me know what you think.

If what you are describing is what I think then you'll loose seat adjustablilty. Doesn't matter to many including me but does to some.
Also this might be a little difficult with the chassis bracing that is there. I originally looked at putting an 8in bass tube on the passenger side but it wouldnt sit low enough due to the chassis

Someone on the board showed a set-up like that but it really still took too much room from the passenger side. Placing the sub seems like the big headache doing a good set-up in our cars. I've heard plenty of trunk-mounted S2000 subs but I haven't been impressed (except for the ones firing through the convertable top "pan").
