Having problems with Alarm & Fuel Pump
I just picked up a 2001 s2000 and was having an alarm put in, after it was all said and done, the car would not start. Apparently the fuel pump is not turning on but has power to it ??!?? ... is there an imobilizer in the car which if tampered would cut the fuel off? any way to get around this or fix it so i can run an alarm on the car ?
also forgot to add, if it makes a difference, we found out that it apperears the foam surrounding the gas tank was cut. Looks like the fuel pump was removed and possibly replaced.
any suggestions?

They were screwing around and accidentally tried to start the car with the red programming key...j/k!
I did that once...accident of course.
I was putting an alarm/rs on an employees prelude and when we told him he needed to give up one key for the transponder bypass, the second key was red. I didnt think anything of it...I just thought the heads came in different colors...
But this was back in 2002...
They dont have the starter kill relay wired backwards do they?
Does the car attempt to turn over or does it do nothing?

red programmign key?
are you talking about the stock keys, I have 2 keys and they both look identical.
it attempts to turn over, the starter motor is going, but will not start, no fuel is going to the engine. Now they put back in the stock ecu and still wont work. However they did test with teh AEM Ecu and it started which ive been told bypasses the immobilizer
how should the starter kill should be wired?
