In the photo it appears that the knob is well behind the surface that the door closes against.

No issues at all very close to original factory knob location.

Mine does not completely mute as the Modifry posts indicated but it is enough for me when I need it. I use my Galaxy note 4 most of the time to control. Phone app starts when car starts. Variable color display so I can match the color just right, that was a must for me. It has 45 watts of power so I did not use another amp. I found the stock speakers actually sound pretty good, much better than with the stock HU. I only open the radio now to insert a CD. I got the digital radio but still wanted a CD input along with front and back ports for iPad/phone/chip. Nice feature is the speed wire to adjust the volume as you drive. Adjustable.

does your radio door close? I was looking at a Sony one as well just the media player? Would prefer one where door closes if possible

When you guys swap out the HU and replacing the two 6.5" speaker, do you guys still use the stock tweeters with the new HU?

I haven’t even thought about the speakers although the tweeters seem to be locked into that back headrest area I’d be too afraid to damage the , the door speakers shouldn’t be too hard

Not too many people substitute a different 6.5" while leaving in the OEM tweeter -
component sets are designed to compliment each other, so mismatched ones
may not work well together (smooth transition from lows to highs with equal output);
in addition aftermarket sets usually come with a far more sophisticated crossover
than the simple capacitor in the OEM setup.
Most aftermarket tweeters are not that difficult to install in place of the OEM ones.

Installed the UTE-73BT and two Focal ICU-165 in the doors yesterday. Sounds great. Left the stock tweeters in and it works wonder. Ordering the KTP-445A for easy install & boost the power up a bit.

Anyone is installing a small sub? May be a powered thin sub that may sits behind or under the seat?
