HELP!
So I went ahead and installed a head unit and component speakers today. After finally putting everything back together I noticed three significant problems. First of all, the passenger side window will not go up at all. Second my driver side door will not lock/unlock. It seems like the locking mechanism wont click into place. And lastly my head unit will not eject my cd and makes weird clicking sounds when trying. So obviously I messed something up in the process of installing everything. Any ideas on what my problem might be would really be appreciated!
1. Check the window lock on the drivers door.
2. It sounds like you messed something up with the lock when you took the door apart. Take it back apart and have a look.
3. Is the deck new??
Did you purchase an OEM to aftermarket HU wiring adapter? So that we know the wiring is correct...

The window lock was on so the window is "fixed" (I feel like an idiot). I had the door apart and was playing around with the locking system and could not find the source of the problem. And the deck is about a year old. I had it in my civic and it was working fine earlier today. As soon as I put it in the s2000 the cd wont spit out. And I used the wiring adaptor that I purchased for my 2003 honda civic. I asked a guy at an audio shop if the same harness would work and he said it would. I am pretty sure everything is wired correctly. The only thing I can think of is maybe while cutting off the stock door speaker harness to splice the wires for the new speaker I messed something up. But I dont see how any of that would mess up my locking mechanism.... Hmmmmm... I am thinking about taking it to the Honda dealer tomorrow but I am afraid to see what they would charge me to fix it.
The door lock is going to be something to do with the bars I would think that that goo from the door lock to the mech. Check that out. Pull the door panel off but leave it plugged it so the panel is hanging from the wire harness... then just take the bar off the lock, then hit the lock button. and see what happens. Does the passenger door lock properly?
If you had something with the speaker wires screwed up, the sound would just suck or sound bad.
The dealer will definately charge you to fix it.

The passenger door does work properly but when I try to use the keyless remote it wont work. The only way I can get the driver door to lock/unlock it to pull the handle and move the lock at the same time. Same goes for outside of the car (pull the handle and use the key to manually unlock the car). When i push the lock button on the keyless remote nothing happens at all. When I push unlock there are a bunch of clicking noises and the car lights flash as they normally do. I checked to see if the lock rods were bent and they seemed fine. It seemed like the problem may be where the actual lock is (which seems impossible to get to inside the door).

Ok so I just got back in from playing around with the lock again and I still can not physically move the lock back and forth in a locking position. It does move a little just does not click and lock into place. However, after closing the door and pushing the lock button on the keyless remote the door locks as normal. I hit unlock and it unlocked like normal. As soon as I open the door the keyless entry no longer moves the locks. So I guess the only problem I have is the door lock not working if I am inside the car and manually trying to lock the car.
not sure if it applies to you but something similar happen to me as well. i was working on a custom speaker pod on the door handle insert and was checking for clearance and to make sure it didnt interfere with the lock. for some reason i couldnt flip the lock back but then i checked it with the door closed and it worked fine. my guess is that its some safety feature to prevent from accidentally locking yourself out.
