I want to move the factory 6 disc changer from the left side of the trunk to the spot next to the spare. I know that i must cut the carpet.Would there be any skipping problems due to the location being over the axel?

Here is my install over by the spare tire. I did not cut any carpet or drill any holes. See the thread for details. I've to date not had any skipping problems with the changer. If you have any questions let me know.
