Great, glad I could help. Now you just have to "upgrade" to a Passport.

Are you guys aware of the 'Option' connectors available on the under-dash fuseblock? Honda conveniently left us a place to connect add-on stuff right on the fuseblock. (edited 10/16/02 to fix error - swapped expanation for C and E)

Option Connector E - hot when the parking lights are on, through fuse 23, 10 amps

Option Connector D - hot always, through fuse 42, 40 amps

Option Connector C - hot when ignition on (and not cranking) through fuse 42, 40 amps.

All 3 of these connectors are recessed male 1/4" quick-connects, and yes, you should use an in-line fuse, especially when connecting to D or C.

No Radio Shack in TX? I thought they were based in TX. RS usually has them for $3. If you have a PEP Boys (aka 3 stooges) they have one for $2.

modifry,

do you think the option connector "e" would be a good place to wire my amplifier turn on lead (12 volts turns my amplifier on)? most of the do-it-yourselfers have told me to spice into my radio wires but i would like to connect it to the fuse box if possible. thanks in advance for your advice.

[B]I "hard wired" my Passport 8500 into the fuse box using a "fuse holder expander. " This is basically a connector that plugs into the fuse box that gives you the capabilty to use one fuse slot for 2 different purposes (the original purpose and whatever you want to attach to the wire that comes out of the expander). Kinda like plugging in a plug expander into a household 110v outlet. I bought it from AutoZone for around $10.
