help with ipod to alpine 9815

Default help with ipod to alpine 9815

Could I get some help with recommendations as to the how to hook up my ipod to the 9815 from you with experience and having gone through learning curve with various ways.

thanks - do you have any headsup on this like did you need to install a noise suppressor or anything or did it work great fron onset? Where did you run the wires to the ipod?

i used a similar ai-net to stereo jacks cable. that plugs into the belkin car adapter which plugs into the cigarette lighter and my ipod. my current plan is to tap into the power wires for the cigarette lighter and wire the belkin unit under the dash and make a mount for my ipod on the dash. that way there are no cables visible at all.

i did not use any noise supressor (not sure why you would want that anyway) but the cigarette lighter gives pretty poor quality power which makes the ipod sound like poo.

Spikes in your power stream will overlay themselves on top of your signal and make it noisy. Remember that your power is part of your amplifier circuit, if you are introducing noise on the power side you will see it on the signal side, no matter how good your amp is.
