HELP! Key fob won't work with new battery
Recently my 04 key fob ran out of battery. I went and replaced the battery however the fob won't work anymore. I tried to put back the old battery to check but it still doesn't work.
the red led light doesn't light up. I even swap battery with an ap1 fob battery it happened to that fob too.

Got a voltmeter? Comparing the old, new, and the third battery voltages will offer a clue. Unlikely all 3 are dead. Unlikely both fobs have died at the same time. 3v battery in a fob intended for 1.5v may damage the fob.
