Help! My Lucid speakers keep cutting off....
The previous owner installed some rear Lucid Speakers, an Alpine Amp and Subwoofer in the trunk....sometimes, little bumps in the road would cause these speakers to cut off.....Anyone have any ideas where to start looking for the cause? I don't know whether its a loose wire from the headunit, powersource or what.....
cool. thanks....Is it possible that it could be any of the wires coming out from the amp? They are all very close to each other and connected to the amp via screws (screwed down)...or would it be somewhere on the speaker system. It seems that the amp AND the lucid speakers cut out, so I'm guessing its probably the power line somewhere....
If all speakers connected to the amp cut out, then check the power going to the amp. If it's only two speakers, check the wiring to those two at the amp as they may be touching each other. If the entire system cuts out, suspect power going to the whole shebang.
Sorry, I'm completely new at this...but where do you think I should start looking for the power cut? I'm not sure whether the front speakers are attached to the amp or not, but when things cut out, its the rear lucid speakers and the sub in the trunk...basically everything behind me...the stock speakers and aftermarket tweeters still play on.....
