i'll say this much -- the Boston amp is very impressive to me. if not just for the sound quality, the level of tuning available in it's crossovers is quite nice.
now -- i've only had mine for like 4 months, so i just can't offhand vouch for it's reliability, but it's been a solid performer so far.
regarding the Clarion? haven't owned one. and the JL's i know just from the experiences of others... and those are generally good.
if the Boston fits for ya? all the better.
still, you should be able to find it for a reasonable price.
