I too need a replacement bulb for the front passenger side headlight but Honda wants to bend me over for $219

So I'm on the hunt for a less pricey bulb too

why people call the dealership for OEM parts, I'll never know

you can find a pair of brand new philips 85122+ bulbs for ~$120
A PAIR, lol

When replacing bulbs, it's better to replace both bulbs otherwise you'll have bulbs with different colors due to color shifting

of course you don't have to, but I gave you a heads up

i think its not worth it, at least to me.
4300K bulbs are rated at 3200 lumens
ultilion 6000k are rated at 2400 lumens
so you loose a third of the light output by switching.
if you want go with 5000K bulbs, i think they are 85122CM 85122CX
read this for more info http://www.hidplanet.com/forums/content.ph...about-HID-bulbs.

if you want higher color bulb but not to loose output then you can get 50W ballasts with OEM 6000k bulbs or 4300K (i am running 50W ballasts with 85122+ bulbs)

awesome, finally someone that knows what they're talking about!

looking at that HIDplanet page makes me miss my Philips 95123 bulbs! so rare

to the OP, have you ever thought about modding your cutoff instead of changing bulbs?

Having a blue cutoff > having blue output

AP1 projectors mod pretty well

here are AP1 projectors with color mod:

the blue cutoff is the flicker you see in your rear view mirror when driving in front of someone with projector HIDs. The color changes from blue and purple depending on the height (going over bumps in the road and stuff)

Here is a pic of my old Civic Si with TSX projectors using 85123 bulbs:

doesn't the usable white light along with a blue cutoff look much more appealing to you?

Don't go ebay. Check out theretrofitsource.com Guy sells quality HID parts for a great price. I've got an FX45 retro in my Fit using his parts. I believe you can buy bulbs from him for $45 or $55 a piece. Highly recommend doing business with him.

is there anyway to adjust how the drivers' side aims light?

i know the obvious reason for it aimed lower is for on on-coming traffic....but it just looks funny when i pull up to buildings and garages like this

nope, no way to make it a straight line unless you open up the projectors and modify the shield
