the blue are 8000k or a little higher. after that it's purple then green.

4300k is oem. I have 6000 in my Titan. much more white than our s2k's.

8000K is it. No need to check guys. 6000K are more blue/white, while 8000K are stupid blue. Anything higher (10000K) are ugly purple.

BTW, with 8000K, you wont see anything thats farther than 10 feet in front of you.

Left:6500k Middle:7500k Right:12000k


Basically you get a more pure white at 6000k, your desired blue at 8000k, and a purple shade at 12000k. My neighbor has 12000k in his Navigator, yes he can still see farther than non-HID lights and farther than 10 feet, but I like to mess with him because he drives around with purple tinted headlights which I think look stupid on a Navigator.

There is actually a thread in the S2000 talk about this, from what I read the color changes not only happen at higher K, but by the design of the reflector (like BMW lights). The higher K you go the less true light you will get. There was also mention of the higher you go on the scale the less life you will get out of the ballast.

slap some blue tint film over your headlights and be done with it!
