High amperage alternators

Default High amperage alternators

anybody know where to get them? how much? and output?

thinking about putting some serious amperage in the little guy and I know the stock alt. won't do it.

I didn't know Metra sold alternators.

I'm considering running 2000 watts. 2 amps a/b type amps.

if that's too crazy I'll probably just do 600 watts total.

If you're seriously going to have 2000 watts running in your car.... not quite sure how your going to do that with 2 amps but that's beside that point; then you will need a higher output alternator.

it's just a thought. I have a mbquart QAA4250 and QAA2500 which put out 1000 watts a piece. There's no trunk space in the 1st place so might as well use it .

Yeah those are really nice amps! Well I would say go for it. But I would also say your going to need to upgrade your alternator for that kind of power.

Any good car stereo shop should carry increased wattage alternators. If you are going to run 2000 watts you will probably need to go to a dual output alternator and add a second battery to the car, JMO.
