i purchased a Remote Keyless Duplicator (which is basicly a 3rd party remote) that copies the code from the oem remote and supposed to work like the factory remote.

i have reasons for using this and not the original remote.

it says on the package that it doesnt work with Code Hopping remotes thou.

so my question is, does the oem honda keyless system use code hopping or anything else fancy like that?

 

yup. but code hoping isnt for the sender it's for the reciever so you have nothing to worry about. It's like sending an encrypted message then uncrypting it.
