I recently purchased a used 08 which has a navigation HU installed in the dash. I would like to access the rear so I can't hook up an auxiliary cable to play music from my mp3 player. I want to make sure I remove it properly such that I don't break anything. I've looked up topics of people installing this kind of nav system in their dash, but cannot find exactly how it is held in place.

You may be able to reach it if you pull out the radio and vent. Otherwise, the easiest way would be taking out the pass airbag, disconnect battery and dont turn on ign with airbag unplugged to keep from having a airbag light come on.
