Default How Do I access the AUX on my 02 HU?

I did a search, but I didn't come up with anything definitive. I'm getting the PIE Honda AUX converter that supposedly converts the OEM CD Changer connection on the back of the OEM unit into RCAs. My question is, how do I put my 02 unit into the AUX mode when I get it? This may be a stupid, question I understand, but I'm just not sure if it automatically detects something there and when I cycle throught all the modes (AM, FM, CD..) that AUX will appear, or do I have to do something else? Thanks for all your help!

I don't know for a fact but it would make sense that you would just select the CD changer on the HU. I mean, if the converter basically intercepts/uses the CD changer inputs...

When the PIE is not connected, you get AM/FM and CD when the PIE adapter is connected, the CD button becomes CD/CD-Changer.

That's how mine works anyway. Just make sure you ground it to the radio or it wines like a mofo.

Basically, where you plug in the RCA's there's an exposed metal shield, solder a wire onto this shield and attach the other end to one of the bolts on the radio. It cuts down considerably on the ground-loop hum and electronic noise.

If the iPod or whatever is not attached, you'll hear interesting noises over the speakers when the AUX is selected. The Radio/CD and all work just fine though as well as AUX when you have a device hooked up to it.

I just used an alligator clip, clipped it onto one of the outer RCA plug metal parts and attached the other end to a radio screw.

It works perfect, and I have been using it like this for about 6 months now with no problems....
