04, OEM changer with OEM deck. 8 disc.

yesterday i was driving around and out of no where the head unit says "CDC" so i get out, eject the magazine and then put it back in just to cycle it.

now it wont register that the change is hooked up. when you put the magazine into the changer it cycles through all of the spots to see if there is a CD in there and then stops when its finished. it all seems to be just fine but for whatever reason i can not select the changer to play a CD.

any ideas?

Check to see that the changer harness is plugged tightly into the changer
and into the headunit. If that's not it, assuming you have the radio
anti-theft code, I'd try resetting the headunit by cutting all power to it.
