Default How do you remove the radio door?

I have the center vent assembly, including the original radio door already out. I see there are two tine pins that hold the door in place where it hinges. I guess I need to remove those pins to undo the door, but how does one do that? The only thing that will fit inside those holes containing the pins is a paper clip, but I can't catch the pins with enough leverage to slide them out... they seem fixed.

well you would have to push it out. ive heard people saying they used clothes hangers, some used pins they had, my friend used one of those little air pins from a old football. i on the other hand just used a really really small screwdriver + some WD-40. and pushed it out.

I have found that an allen wrench works very well. Find one that barely fits in the hole and then push the pin out far enough to get some pliers on it. Use the pliers to pull the pin out the rest of the way.

be sure to be on the lookout for a round spring that will come out. you need that to make sure the new door opens. it can be a little challenging to set the spring; you have to tension it with a finger while putting the new door in. don't put in the pins until you have the spring right.

Where did you get the new radio lid from? Is there an internet shop that sells them? I can't find them anywhere in Europe besides the dealer (they ask >$100).

Thanks.
