Since I had the stock radio door signed by Shigeru Uehara, I bought a CR radio door. I thought it would come with the entire trim panel as well, as that's what it looked like it included. Turns out it's just the door face.

I've been fiddling with the spring mechanism to try to replace the door, but I can't seem to figure out how to take it apart. Anyone know how it's done?

I highly recommend using a tack nail to pull out the hinge pins. Makes it easy as cake.

 

Keep a very close eye on the spring as it can get loose on you on removal. To reinstall it you need to pre-load it upon installation so it has pressure to open the door on release, hard to explain without seeing it in front of me. Take very close note of the door before your pull it appart. Push out the pins and reinstall in reverse, the spring is very small so be careful not to lose it.
