Default How do you route wires from the battery through the firewall??

I was just wondering how I would run wires into the cabin because I can't find a hole through the firewall anywhere! This car seems much more difficult than my past cars. If anyone knows, please inform me! thanks again!

There's a rubber grommit with a bundle of wires theough it in the firewall, behind the battery. You can use that. You'll need to remove some electrical tape and make a hole in the rubber, but it can be done.

hmm...I guess I'll have to try it again beause that's where I tried pushing a coat hanger through but it seemed to go to the right because there some type of obstruction when I pushed down and so I was not able to poke into the cabin

Remove the battery from it's holder, and you'll see a free hole directly into the cabin.

i know what you are talking about because i did the same thing. on my car there are two rubber grommets with wire looms going through them...maybe they are different for 02, i dont know. MacGyver is right though, remove the battery and shove your wire through the lower grommet and the wire will soon be laying in your floorboard. when i shoved the wire through the upper grommet the first time i really thought that i was getting somewhere until i discovered that i was pushing the wire right along the windshield wipers underneath the black plastic. if you are running the power for an amp you will also discover if you take out the door molding, the piece where your cover hooks on, by the seatbelt, and the rear panel, you will see a perfect hole about 3/4" that goes directly to the spare tire. i thought that it was a lot easier to run wiring in the s2k than some other cars that i have installed.

I just did this over the weekend. I ran the wire through that grommet and down the center cosole on the inside of it. It took about 30 mins to run all the wires i needed and i can say it was the easyest car i have installed a HU and Amp in.
