Default how do you test if speakers are phased right?

can you just take the speaker leads and attach a multimeter to it and if it reads pos, you have the pos cable on the pos and the neg on the comm? would that work to figure out if your speakers are all phased the same?

i'm not sure, but i think your idea would work.

why are you wondering, are you suspicious that (+) and (-) are switched on your speakers?

What kind of speakers are they? There are different ways to test coaxials vs comp's. Take a 12v battery and tap the neg and pos on the spk neg and pos. The spk will do a slight pop. Depending on polarity, the spk will pop in or out. Make sure both sides pop the same direction. If they are comp, some run the tweeter out of phase for a smoother sound.

they are the focal access 162's or soemthing like that. the enrty level 6.5inchers. i think i may have one of them inverted. sucks.

they seem to have no bass at all and i think its cause of the one speaker inverted compared to the other 3. hell, two might be inverted from the other two.

you can also get a bass cd from fye and they have phase tests and bass tests tracks on there. they are very helpful for tuneing imo the music isn't the best unless u like techno or club but all the test tracks are good lol... for the 6 bucks mine cost as worth it.
