Have a 2001 S2K. Want to put focal components in there (probably 165V), if possible, and Blaupunkt amp (2100) under pass seat. What are my options with the tweeters? Can I do it without making any permanent, visible changes (ie: if I want to return the car to stock if/when I sell it someday)?

Also, should I add rear speakers? Do I need to go high end there, or would it be better to simply put in 4 kenwoods, vs the front component focals? How about the focals up front, and kenwoods in back (from Lucid's site)?

Thanks.

00-01 tweeters can be pod mounted or flush. Semi-pod/angled is the easiest way to install but flush looks the best. You will have to drill the doors. Yeah you can return it to stock by buying new door panels down someday (maybe second hand? new they're almost 400 each).

But with an amp you really want to put in a set of components for the doors. The Kenwoods work fine off the amp, I'd advise either bass blockers or high pass on the amp so they won't distort at high volume. If you're on the fence about rears just add the polk dx4 or 402s I have some left and it would be under $100-120 complete for what you're doing. They do make a difference.

A door adapter kit would allow for easy installation of any true 6.5" size speaks.
