Default I have no clue... please help

I have a MY03 and am going to begin the stereo project. I don't want rear speakers, all I am looking to do is:

replace the components in the doors

add an amp

---------------------

Should I buy a 2 channel am,p or a 4 channel amp. I am a complete idiot when it comes to things like this, and just need some guidance.

WHICH ARE THE BEST COMPENTS TO PUT IN MY CAR? I'LL PROBABLY BUY 6.5" AND GET THE LUCID ADAPTOR, BUT WHAT DO YOU GUYS HAVE? MONEY IS NO OBJECT, I CANNOT STRES THIS ENOUGH. I WANT THE BEST POSSIBLE COMPONENTS FOR OUR CAR AVAILABLE. HOPEFULLY A SET WHERE NO MODIFICATION TO THE DOOR PANEL IS NECCESSARY.

I probably going to go with a KICKER amp. Any other suggestions? I want the pure best.

Thanks in advance, and sorry for all of the CAPS.

If you're only going to have front components, you won't need a 4 channel amp. There are only two channels there.

If you are going high end as you say, I don't understand why you would not want a sub.

I do want a sub, but only something that looks like it belongs in the trunk. You know how you see some people's subs, and the box just doesn't match, or fit like it should? I hate that. I want something that looks like it belongs in the trunk. Would I need a 4 channel amp then?

First, let me say that I am not an expert, so take what I say with a grain of salt. Check out the JL Audio Stealthbox. Pricey, but you don't care, right? That's what I have and I love it. You will need two channels to power the fronts and one channel (or two channels bridged) to power the sub. You can do this with two amps or possibly one. I have no idea if you can bridge two channels of a four channel amp.

Matrix, MacGyver, and Modifry are some of the experts. Try PM'ing them or waiting for their responses here.

Not sure where you can buy it since I don't live in the states.

If you need some help/instructions on removing the door panels and speakers (no tweeters since mine is a 2000), see my webpage...

Some four channel amps let you do that, some do not. I'd rather get a 3 channel amp if all I wanted was to power a sub & the fronts.
