Default How to replace the OEM ECU?

I have a bad ECU and need to change it out.
Can I buy a used ECU from another car and put it in?
Does the part number matter or as long as the car is the same year?

yes you can but you will have to have it reprogrammed to your car, i think the dealer will do that for $100

I think there is a difference in the rev limiter. AP1=9,000. AP2=8,000. You should be able to confirm w/the dealer before you buy...
