Default How to route 4 Ga Amp Power from Unit to Battery?

How do you route this HUMUGEOUS Power and ground cable? It's awfully hard to hise a wire this size; any routing instructions / directions?

Do I need 4 Ga for a 450 W Amp? A 300 Watt Amp? What size is recommended?

Where are the amps going?

I routed 4ga through the firewall then down the passenger side. Up the backside of the door and into the spare tire area. Getting throught the FW grommet is a PITA. We removed the battery completely. There is a grommet near the base plate. We cut the tape away and pushed the wire up from under the dash.

I was planning on putting it in the trunk either on top of the spare or mounted against the back wall of the trunk (i.e. vertical next to the spare like a lot of installs I've seen posted here.) Did you run it down the center console (high), along the floor or along the floor by the door? Does it show (i.e. a lump in the carpet or under the console?

There is MONSTROUSLY huge gap between the carpet and the actualy side of the door sill. It is completely invisible. You can see a little tiny bit of it through the nylon "fuzz" boot around the top mechanism on the side.

I ran the interconnects and speaker wire down the center console, and the power and amp on signal down the passenger side.

i ran my 4 ga through the grommet behind the battery (unlike rue, i had NO problems getting it through...) behind the passenger kick panel, along the passenger side, up behind Lucid's panel and then down into the well... you would have problems finding it even if you did know where to look for it...

i grounded to the passenger side cross member bolt...
