I am trying to figure whether my the stock head unit on my 2006 s2000 has a security code or not. When I press 1 and 6 and turn on the stereo (as I have been told to do), nothing happens -- no code appears.

Do all stock HU have a security code?

Does the head unit power on?

Every Honda that I've worked on has a anti-theft code.

 

It does power on. What could I be doing wrong? Is 1 and 6 correct? I turn the unit off, hold 1 and 6, press the button to turn on, and it just turns on, no code.

 

my 03 has a code. its in the glove box on a little sticker. i also dont push anything when i power on the radio....it just asks for the code when its turned on.

 

Anyone know how to get the security code?

Car didnt come with manual and previous owner didnt mention it.

 

If you have a Honda dealership, go there. They can look it up. A local Honda dealer did that for me for my Odyssey radio.
