Default I need a FM Transmitter

I just bought an Archos 604, and want to be able to play music in my car with it. Are all FM transmitter universal or do I need to get one thats compatible. Also, is there anything in particular I should look for besides being able to change frequencies.

TIA.

best performance will come from a wired RF modulator such as:
http://www.crutchfield.com/S-A4NJsdtMdhQ/c...71&I=142FMMOD01
it connects between your antenna and headunit, putting the signal
directly into the antenna jack rather than broadcasting it through the
air and receiving it through the antenna. More work to install, but much
better signal.

It's not digital if thats what you are asking, but you'll hear a little static here and there.

i'm using an fm transmitter that i bought that was a no name brand, but it was like 10 bucks with a remote. Couldn't skip out on that. Anyways, it's definitely not the greatest, but it's decent. I dun mind it, just sounds like anything else out of the radio to me.
