damn.. 237 isn't bad at all... dumb question perhaps, but I couldn't find a definitive answer... does the 305 have imprint build in?

Sound Tuning
Subwoofer Level Adjustment: 0 to 15
High Pass Filter: OFF/80/120/160Hz (Selectable)
Bass Center Frequency: 60/80/100/200Hz (Selectable)
Bass Band Width Adjustment (Q): 4 choices (2 =narrow, 1 =wide)
Bass Level Control Range: ±14
Treble Center Frequency: 10/12.5/15/17.5kHz (Selectable)
Treble Level Control Range: ±14
That works out to a 1.5 band parametric equalizer and one HPF. And 2V pre-outs...

I still think I'm going to miss not having a CD player..
I thought so too but I've never played a CD in my 9886 (over 2+ years so far). Of course, YMMV.

Well, the alpine site says the radio is available now.

Still on the fence about the head unit... also was looking to see if the 9887 would be updated since it has been out for a little while now.

And 2V pre-outs...

as long as your amp is compatible with 2v inputs, just set the gain appropriately.

pre-out voltage became a marketing gimmic, much like touting the built-in amp's peak power rather than RMS. it's not that big of a deal, especially given the short RCA runs in an automobile. consider audiophile home audio equipment. do you see output voltage as a marketing point for preamps? no, because it doesn't matter. most home audio equipment is set for 1-1.5v max preamp out/amp in.
