Am thinking of getting a GPS/PDA but am concerned in which location I should fit it so it will look as much as possible "OEM style"!
Any ideas? Or any pictures with yours fitted will be perfect. Links could do as well!
Thanks.

Do you mean a PDA with GPS in it (like the Garmins)? Or a GPS that's Bluetoothed (or even wired) to a separate PDA? It makes a difference, because having the antenna separate from the unit allows for more flexibility in installation.
I had a Garmin iQue in my previous car (a sedan), and used one of those universal cell-phone mounts (opened all the way wide) to put the PDA on one of the A/C vents. This allowed the antenna to see the sky and me to see the PDA screen. But it also made for poor on-screen visibility due to the glare issue a lot of the time. I'd imagine that in the S with the top down this would be even worse -- although having the antenna see the sky would sure be easier!
I haven't done this yet, but my thoughts for my S are to use my DeLorme GPS receiver (probably stuck to the top of the secret compartment) with a Bluetooth setup to a separate PDA (my iQue was stolen, %$^#). That way, I could actually hold the PDA when I want to look at it and move/angle it to reduce the glare.
An alternative I'm considering is to get one of those mini-computers (a tiny laptop) and use it, sitting behind the shifter on the console, maybe, with the DeLorme GPS hard-wired to it. That's way more expensive, though. HPH

i am somewhat dis organized, use the following equipment
-Fortuna Clip-On Bluetooth GPS Receiver
-hp ipaq 5550
-hp fm transmitter (Belkin tyecaset2 pnF8y3080)
-mapopolus software
i put the gps reciever anywhere, since it is bluetooth it finds the pda but no cables are involved. of anything, this reciever is dependable.
since the pda runs microsoft it is somewhat goony, behaves odd at times but when working it gives fine results. the mapopolus software is also odd, got this because the user license is not paired to the pda serial number. the software has many functions but they are hard to use.
i put the pda anywhere, let the pda play mp3's from its sd card in the background and use the voice prompts on the mapopolus street map application all through the car's fm radio. never look at the pda screen. all this works if i am using any one of the cars or the motorcycle (earbuds in the helmet).

Here is my temporary mount for a Magellan Roadmate. The windshield mount was effective and glare was not a problem at all. The Magellan had excellent screen resolution and anti glare properties. The curly cord from the cigarette jack was a hastle though. It should have been a regular cord that could be laid along the console.
I would not use this mount on a permanant basis though and would prefer to mount the GPS on a pod somewhere near the shifter.
Bobby,
