I thinks a review section would also be a great addition. We could do it by componet i.e. HeadUnits, Amps ... etc. We can rate the units by would be great or stay away.

Couple of problems........

1. Not NEARLY enough info.
2. I dont want EVERYONES opinion.....I want the opinion of people that can tell the difference between a 100,200,300 and 500 dollar speaker.

3. People that have a FULL knowledge of what else is available for similar pricing.

4. The link you gave is a subforum, which anyone can post......Which means people give skewed opinions because they have the product, so they might be biased. Its really hard to give an unbiased opinion on something that you own.

Good find though.

I can do any graphics you guys might need. Just post drawings or whatever you can find, and I can make wiring diagrams, etc. Plus I've got a pretty good handle on the whole ipod thing, so i could do a write up on that.

i could also do a direct wire your radar detector section. I'd havta to fake a few photos but that's fine.

As far as wiring a stereo, that's your department. If I can offer any help, diagrams, feedback, etc. let me know.

Thanks and rock on!

PS D'knight how do you like our Florida sun?

Oh...I'll add one more thing about the reviews...

Remember that there's only a few things that are special about our cars in terms of audio. For things that aren't S-specific, I could ask the local car audio types.

For example:

Decks
No special requirements outside of size (e.g. we can't use the OEM Ford radio ) and compatibility w/Lucid's DCI

Amps
Just size

Subs
Small box requirements, mounting depth, and we care about 8" subs more than normal people do

Speakers
You could make a case for us having special requirements here as we have an especially close and covered stock mounting location and an open top that makes for a different listening experience. At the same time, a lot of us go for the more robust fronts to forego losing the trunk space.

And that's that...

All of you system guru's make this happen because I for one love stereo system but lack the audio knowledge to put one together. So this type of FAQ's sheet will be a great help to me. Also make a system FAQ based on cost effectiveness. (Under 1000.00 /over 2000.00)
thnx

I would add an FAQ/libray article on adding a Pocket PC based GPS (or any other handheld GPS) - I get a couple PMs a week now!

Here is the info I prepared:
http://members.cox.net/jordanmarsh/ppc-programming.htm

I do research on all GPS programs and hardware and I am a member of GPSpassion.com and several other sites where I share info on this topic.
