it's funny how we've all got preferred shippers... i wouldn't send my worst enemy dog crap in a box via UPS... i generally prefer FedEx... at least they didn't leave $1000 in audio equipment sitting at my front in the rain or bust up my $1500 paintball gun, then try to deny it and refuse to make it right...

i'd definitely visit your local USPS office...

I ordered two sets of speakers 12/30 from Ikesound. I got one set around 1/14, I have yet to receive the other set. They keep saying the speakers are back ordered. The thing I didn't like is they charged the whole amount for both sets of speakers.... I'm still patiently waiting.

This is my main gripe against companies like that. They don't actually stock the majority of the products they sell (in fact, many don't stock ANYTHING), they just have the manufacturers drop ship to your door. The companies still claim 3-4 day urn around times, but it could be weeks before something ships, and it's totally out of their control. My problem is, they don't let YOU know it's not under their control, they make you believe they have a box sitting there waiting for you.

Another problem with many internet sales, not all mind you, but many, is that they consistently sell refurbished goods at a discounted rate. Most often these are repaired returns. Most of the time "refurbs" don't carry the factory warranty and with good reason: they are often repaired shoddily and with less than standard parts.

A friend of mine who is a higher up in one of the major consumer electronics biz, said to me that it is standard practice to unload all the returned/repaired items to discount internet retailers without warranty backing. This way the sale is final and the major dealers of these goods won't complain when their customers come back complaining of broken or shoddily repaired goods.

Before buying from an internet retailer do your homework: make sure they are reputable and back their products. Many of the buyers who add to this forum have experience with many of the retailers, so find out which ones they use and which ones are best. Make sure you can return what you buy and get your money back, or you can play the "exchange game" till the cows come home.

I've been emailing back and for to Ike sound for the last day or so with questions about products and what they have in stock. They were very upfront with what they had in stock and they did reply back within 6 hours, which I think is very good.

I'm not doubting that you haven't received your items, but if they tell you now it's currently back ordered I feel you have two options 1) wait until they get it in or 2) have them refund that portion of your money back.

Well, it's the 30th and still no speakers and amp! This is really pissing me off. They said they want to wait until the 1st before they call the post office to make a claim. So no, they aren't claiming a back order. I should've just ordered off ebay or something. I've never experienced such horrible service before.
