Default Inexpensive audio upgrades?

I just leased an 03 and wonder if there is an inexpensive way to at least get the volume level to a point where I can hear it clearly with the top down. Since as I said this is a lease, I would prefer to spend as little as possible on this "fix." I am also someone whoses idea of an addon or fix involves the yellow pages, so I'd also like it to be something that can be added with very little in the way of labor charges.

Thanks.

Yes, I am sure this has been addressed before, but I'm new here!

Are you supposed to be cutting holes in the panels of leased vehicles?

Rear speakers! R11- You could buy replacement panels and when you give the car back just replace them. The panels are not too expensive.

I went ahead and bought an Acura RSX-S Bose sub for $35 shipped after reading this thread:

I should have it in the next few weeks. I'm hoping it makes a small difference for relatively little $$. You can probably get the sub for $25 or less if you don't have have it shipped from CA to PA (I didn't feel like haggling the kid, so I just told him I'd give him another $10 to cover s&h).

I see you found my thread. BTW, I just fixed it so the pictures once again show up in the opening post.

Have you looked at the S-pods for rear speakers?

Yeah, that is a great thread STL, thanks. I need to print the whole thing out when it comes time for the install. How's the sub working out for you? Do you still have it?

Yes I still have it, and as a matter of fact I was just listening to it today. It adds some much need low end sound, but like I said in the other thread you shouldn't expect much punch.
