I have these too and they sound ok. It doesn't seem like they put out enough highs. I'm thinking of installing another set of tweeters in the back or something. My gf's stock '01 accord exvl seems to have better treble.

i can't help but thinkg that something is wrong w/ them then... i've never met anyone who has said that these speakers lack highs.

check to make sure your crossovers aren't set for treble reduction.

Something is DEFINETELY wrong here. I have heard only a handful of speakers that get brighter than the Perfects.....also, the +5db on the crossovers make them in the top three brightest speakers. Check your headunit/crossover settings.

I acutally have it set @ +5. I have it running of a RF Power Series Amp with an Alpine 9815 headunit. Could it be my settings? I dunno how to tune the cross over on it. Should I just leave it on flat and let the Kappa crossovers do the work or something else? Too many damn modes witht he Alpine.

I actually left the amp on full range. Isn't that the correct setting since I'm running components off it?

that's the correct setting.

go thru the settings on the alpine and write down everything you've got set, and how it's set.

then put them here. hopefully, i'll see something that's part of your problem.

How do these speakers compare to the JL Audio XR series?? I'm debating between these two right now.
