Wow! Nice! I like the stealth look there. Good job. Hows the screen placement though? Seems like a somewhat odd place to be looking at a screen.
The placement is good IMO and I must say that it doesnt effect the driving. I mean while am driving I only need to have a look at the screen once am getting close to my destination.
So I won't say it is dangerous for driving.

Nice job. When you say you can hear the voice commands with no problem, how is it with the top down at highway speeds (to hear the commands telling you to take the exit in '1 mile', '1/2 a mile', and finally 'this exit')?

First of all, the voice can be heard clearly while driving. I havent tested yet with the top down since I have the hardtop on at the moment but imagine that I can still hear the voiice even with the Invidia droning BIG time!
As for viewing the map, I dont find any problems with that. I just hear the voice for example saying: "Turn right after 1.5kms", then "Turn right at 100meters". At this point I look at the screen and look at the arrow pointing the turn and thats it. So there is nothing more to see. Keep in mind that I also had a NAV on a previous car on the dash and once you focus on the screen your sight is off the road as well.
Believe me, it is very handy to use it in this position. You won't regret it.

Now I need to figure out if this can be done with my 05 model.. since I have two cupholders, I can retain one, and use the other for the navi.. great idea there..
